Implementation of KAIST Human Rights Week 2016 

The Center for Human Rights and Ethics is planning to declare the Human Rights Week 2016 and carry out detailed action plans as follows to create a campus that respects and ensures gender equality and human rights.

1. Designated Period: Monday, November 7 ~ Friday, November 11, 2016


2. Venue: Various parts of the KAIST Main Campus in Daejeon

3. Purpose: To raise awareness of human rights issues and create a campus respecting human rights

A. Booth Events


   1) Date/Time: 11 a.m. ~ 7 p.m., Monday, November 7 ~ Tuesday, November 8, 2016


   2) Place: In front of Sports Complex


 


B. Performance & Open Podium


   1) Date/Time: 5:30 p.m. ~ 7 p.m., Monday, November 7 ~ Tuesday, November 8, 2016


   2) Place: Open space in front of Chang Young Shin Student Center


 


C. Talk Show


   1) Date/Time: 5:30 p.m. ~ 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016


   2) Place: Ullim Hall (1F) of Chang Young Shin Student Center


   3) Panel: Kim Bo-mi (Seoul National University Student President) and a few more guests


   4) Title: How to Survive as a Minority at Campus (working title)


   * Talk show is going to be held in Korean.


 


D. Special Lecture


   1) Date/Time: 4 p.m. ~ 6 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016


   2) Place: Terman Hall of Creative Learning Building


   3) Speaker: Koo Sung Ae (CEO of Purun Ausung)


   4) Title: Our Beautiful Sex


   5) Applicability: Priority will be given on students, but all KAIST members are allowed to attend. 


   * Leadership mileage points to be granted

      Interpretation will be provided for English when there are more than 5 pre-registrations.


 


E. Lunch Cinema

   3) Applicability : All members of the KAIST community 


   * Sandwiches and beverages provided for the first 40 attendees.
